9th Annual New Media Film Festival Presents Fresh Films Merging Story and Technology

The 9th Annual New Media Film Festival, a Los Angeles based film festival which showcases work from content creators in the new media industry, will be taking place June 16-17th 2018 at the James Bridges theater in Los Angeles, CA. Considered one of the nation’s top destination for film festivals. NNFF presents 110 new media films and content from 40 countries 36 world, 7 US and 24 premieres.

“We are excited about our selection of films this year because many of them address real issues that impact our community positively” says Susan Johnstone executive director/founder. We are thrilled to present fresh films that have not been seen at many of the world’s festivals, with unique entertainment and celebrities, all adding to the mix of our welcoming and entertaining festival.

The 9th annual New Media Film Festival is broken down into eight new media sessions, each containing a few of the 20 categories to be awarded. New Media Session 8, which will start from 6:45-8:45pm, will be screening 22 works from five categories ranging from SRC (socially responsible content), S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art or math), Trailers, Student and Music Videos.

The New Media Film Festival accepts content from every country and the session 8 contains content from over 15 different countries. Additionally, at the end of the session there will be a Q&A with all of the content creators where the audience can ask questions and learn more about each piece.The 9th annual New Media Film Festival will have the judges from Emmys, HBO, Marvel and other industry leaders.

The 2018 New Media Film Festival will have jury members from Emmys, HBO, Marvel and other industry leaders. The jury will review all the films- animations, shorts and documentaries that are in competition and announce the winners of the awards. The goal of the award is to raise awareness and inspire film standards for local, regional and international filmmakers.

The Great New Media Film Festival has shown the world, how to honor content makers from across every discipline imaginable and every ethnicity without sacrificing its core identity.
