EchoStar Selected By BTC Broadband To Deliver HD Programming
US telco BTC Broadband, based in the state of Oklahoma, has inked an agreement with EchoStar Satellite Services under which the latter will deliver its ViP-TV video transport service to the telco, providing up to 49 high-definition channels to its IPTV headend.
BTC Broadband’s IPTV solution integrates video streams from ViP-TV into an IPTV middleware solution from Conklin-Intracom, with the latter company providing testing and integration services. The telco has deployed a Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network for the delivery of telephony, broadband and IPTV services to its residential and business customers in Oklahoma.
