Marinemart Boating Accessories Adds a 24/7 Global Communication Product with the Satellite KVH TracPhone FB150

Boaters no longer need a multi-hundred foot yacht and Donald Trump’s bank account to have continuous, worldwide, and clear data and voice communication with work, friends, or loved ones. Marinemart Boating Accessories is beaming over their recent addition of the compact KVH TracPhone FB150. Anywhere there’s a latitude and longitude, there’s now an affordable ability to retrieve SMS or broadband data off the internet, or make an important call (or do them simultaneously).

Everyone knows the only downside of a luxurious voyage to a distant sun-drenched location is the lack of timely information. While it’s important to leave the trivial point of contacts on voicemail during a nice get-away, Captains and their guests want to be able to make and receive emergency calls. Even beyond potential crises, the ability to check a banking transaction or sell a stock in real time might be the very thing that allows someone to join the voyage in the first place. And Marinemart Boat Supplies wants to remind sea goers of the safety aspects of the TracPhone since it can download weather, sea conditions, chart updates, forecasts, or even local and international news.

The TracPhone FB150 antenna is the smallest in the KVH family making it unquestionably feasible for boats as small as 40 feet. The fully stabilized platform offers IP data connections up to 150 Kbps with, surprisingly, simultaneous voice and SMS service all via the trusted Fleet Broadband Network of Inmarsat. Of course the advantage of Inmarsat, besides its recognition as the leader in maritime broadband, is the new I-4 satellite constellation which will offer lucky customers service for the next 20 years and beyond.

For only $7,195 boaters can access this important quality-of-life maritime tool. Make a critical call to your boss back at the office. Return an email to a son or daughter. Check in with a spouse and make sure everything is okay. Order that new engine part or a sail replacement from hundreds of miles offshore so there’s no wasteful downtime for a repair. The KVH TracPhone FB150 is the captain’s safety, efficiency, and luxury ticket to the boating life he or she always dreamed of. Eager patrons only need to engage this critical proffering from Marinemart Boating Accessories to enjoy this remarkable piece of technology.

Marinemart Boat Supplies originated from the heart and soul of boating enthusiasts in mid 2009. Based out of Tampa, Florida, and with the support of an international technology company, Marinemart.com seeks a new standard as an on-line marketplace. The excitement is viral once people get to know Marinemart. Introducing brand new items to America, like the brand new Waterbuoy, is a perfect example. The Marinemart experience simply offers higher value at a price comparable to traditional boat supply outlets. Don’t spend hours surfing the web for an item offered by some fly-by-night vendor. Log on and be part of the most expansive boating accessories venue. Relax, it’s Marinemart.

Iridium Offers Satellite Data Links for Management, Recovery with Remote Communication Network Sites

Proactive Communications, a provider of enterprise-class communication capabilities, reportedly announced that it is deploying a new automated remote management system that uses satellite data links provided by Iridium Communications Inc. for out-of-band backup access to remote communication network sites.

Data Technology Solutions, an Iridium value-added reseller, is providing the system, which uses ARM technology developed by Uplogix, an Iridium value-added manufacturer. The Uplogix system relies on Iridium’s global satellite circuit-switched data service.

Deployed in the operations center, the Uplogix Control Center delivers real-time monitoring and management capabilities, offering a unified view of what’s occurring in a distributed infrastructure. As an element manager for Uplogix ARM appliances, the control center also serves as the gateway between the SRM appliances in the network and existing IT management systems.

The control center is deployed on a pre-configured, dual CPU, rack-mountable server, and includes an embedded Oracle database engine. With its Web-based graphical user interface, control center puts IT administrators in control of real-time data to easily manage, configure, and control all network devices and servers connected to Uplogix ARM appliances.

Eutelsat Confirms Full Restoration of Services at 16 Degrees East Position

Working in close collaboration with clients, Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) confirms that all services affected by the anomaly which occurred in the evening of January 27 on the W2 satellite are now fully restored at 16degrees East.

Services are running normally using capacity on three satellites collocated at 16degrees East: EUROBIRD(TM) 16 which has been operating at this position since April 2009, W2M which was deployed at the beginning of January to 16degrees East in order to enter commercial service, and SESAT 1 which arrived on January 28 following the completion of its commercial mission at 36degrees East after the entry into service of W7.

In parallel to these manoeuvres, W2 has been placed in secure standby mode in order for Eutelsat and the satellite’s manufacturer, Thales Alenia Space, to carry out a full investigation into the anomaly.
