(iDirect), a company of VT SystemsInc (VT Systems), informed that Belgium Satellite Services (BSS), a leading provider of satellite service to the EMEA region, has installed an iDirect Series 15000Universal Satellite Hub to strengthen the capabilities and reach of its IP satellite broadband offerings. BSS will leverage the iDirect platform to extend satellite service to new geographies and industry markets in the Middle East and Africa.
iDirect is a worldleader in satellite-based IP communications technology. BSS made a strategic business decision to replace its legacy satellite technology with the iDirect platform and is now rolling out new iDirect-based service offerings to its consumers. These include delivering high-speed data and Voice over IP (VoIP) connectivity to enterprises, government organizations and Internet Service Providers.BSS also plans to expand the distribution of its service by leveraging the iDirect hub to integrate capacity from multiple satellites over the EMEA region. BSS was established following the acquisition of the satellite services division of Belgacom, Belgium’s leading telecommunications operator, by India-based ORG Informatics Ltd.
