Sri Lanka Gets A British Satellite.



Sri Lanka inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to obtain a small telecom satellite from U.K.-based Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd., which Astrium acquired at the beginning of the year to bolster its small-sat know-how. SSTL CEO Matt Perkins informed he hopes to conclude a contract by June 2010.
